I am originally from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where I earned my medical degree from Addis Ababa University. I completed my residency in urology and practiced as a urologist and assistant professor at Tikur Anbesa Specialized Hospital, working in both academic and clinical settings in a resource-limited environment.
I am particularly interested in the HES North Knoxville Internal Medicine Residency Program because of its strong community-based training, supportive learning environment, and commitment to developing well-rounded internists. I value programs that emphasize both clinical excellence and mentorship, which aligns well with my professional goals.
After completing internal medicine training, I plan to practice as an internist for a few years while continuing to build my clinical foundation, and later pursue a fellowship in gastroenterology.
Outside of medicine, I have a strong interest in football, which I enjoy both as a way to stay active and as a source of relaxation and connection with others.
