Our Internal Medicine residency program balances academic rigor with a community-based private practice business model. Supported by a close affiliation with Lincoln Memorial University’s DeBusk School of Osteopathic Medicine, our residents enjoy the benefits of both a University-affiliated program and a community-based program. Our aims include striving to train physicians dedicated to continuous improvement of both themselves and the systems within which they practice and, whenever possible, retain our graduates to remain in Tennessee.
We will prepare our trainees to be leaders within their communities, seeking to advance the improvement of overall public health. We intend for our graduates to obtain the necessary experience and knowledge, combined with ongoing learning, to become experts in their chosen field of practice. Our program will provide both a solid foundation in general internal medicine as well as being flexible in providing opportunities around individual career goals and planning. Additionally, the program will promote a culture of wellness, collaboration and mentorship.
