Bakary Jatta, MBBch

I am originally from The Gambia, where early exposure to healthcare inspired my commitment to medicine and systems-level impact. I completed my medical education at the University of The Gambia and practiced briefly at the country’s largest teaching hospital before relocating to the United States. Now a resident in Knoxville, I chose the Tennova Health Internal Medicine program for its small cohort size, diverse patient population, leadership opportunities, and academic affiliation with Lincoln Memorial University. I look forward to maximizing my residency training while exploring future subspecialty interests. Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time in the Smoky Mountains, appreciating their serenity and scenic beauty.
