I was born and raised in Nigeria, and that’s where I attended medical school. I also have a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom. After Graduate School, I moved back to Nigeria, where I worked for several years as a primary care physician before relocating to the United States to join my husband. The most crucial factor in my decision was the hospitality and friendliness of the staff and faculty during the open house. I was also impressed by how people greeted me at the airport; it struck a chord with me. Also, Tennova Health – North Knoxville Medical Center is known for its commitment to academic excellence through teaching medical students and patient-centered care; this program offers unparalleled professional growth and mentorship opportunities. I eagerly look forward to learning from seasoned physicians and dedicated faculty members, who I believe will be crucial in honing my clinical skills and expanding my medical knowledge. I enjoy spending time with my husband and two kids. We often watch soccer and basketball games together, which allows me to recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance. I am passionate about community outreach programs where I can give back to the community in any way I can. I also enjoy listening to gospel music, which I find uplifting and spiritually enriching. I aim to be an Interventional Cardiologist and also work as an academic professor. In the long term, I aspire to establish a non-profit organization to help people in underserved populations in my community and internationally.
